1.  Sewing workshops at Sewing World Gallery, Subang Jaya

Established in 1989, this organisation has carried out countless sewing workshops to ensure that the tradition and art of sewing is passed down to the new generation.


Located at One City, Subang Jaya, Sewing World Gallery is a platform for skilled artists to sell their art pieces. This organisation has won various awards since 2009, is also offering handicraft workshops as well as handmade products through their official website.


“Tunku Azizah Handmade Market” which started in 2010 is one of the mediums for students of this organisation to sell their art pieces at various places such as night markets, bazaars and shopping malls. (Click HERE for location)

2.  The Artsy Craftsy, Shah Alam

This art organisation located in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam started operating in 2008. It helps you explore your artistic talent through arts and crafts workshops. To name a few, what’s offered here are canvas and tote-bag painting, dry clay art, doodle art painting.

3.  Clay Expression, Subang Jaya

As the name suggests, this is an organisation that provides clay art workshops and classes. So, if you are interested in making pottery or ceramic, this is the place to seek advices and guidance from!

4.  Sew Fabby, Shah Alam

Sew Fabby’s owner and founder, Azzah, began sewing from a young age with the guidance from her mother. After receiving overwhelming responses on sewing tote-bag for acquaintances and close friends in 2008, Azzah started taking sewing orders on her Facebook page. 


Fast-forward 2012, Sew Fabby took its business on a higher level by organising its first workshop at Art 2 Publika. Today, the organisation actively sells sewing products like plushie figurines, embroidered towels, embroidered pencil cases, customised key chains and many more.

5.  Fabu Café, Subang

Located in Bandar Sunway, this café is a hub comprising of technology and craft enthusiasts who are passionate about authentic creations. It is also a community space that provides a variety of digital fabrication tools like lasers, 3-dimensional printers and digital embroidery machines for users and artists to get the best art-making experience. 


Once you’re done making art, you can savour yourself with the café’s unique menu: printed pancakes where they are produced according to shapes and artworks chosen by customers.

6.  Laman Kraftani, Kuala Langat

The story of Laman Kraftani begins when Mrs Esiah started her pressed flower art here in 1999. Since then, this unique art has penetrated the local and international markets. 


The flowers that she uses in her artwork creation are all planted within the compound of her house, that is full of lush green flowers and fruit trees.

7.  Ramadas Pottery, Kuala Selangor

This is one of the unique, hidden location in Kuala Selangor district. Owned by the Ramadas family, this pottery has been active in the industry since 1976. Helmed by Mr Ramadas, who won the Pottery Master Craftsman Award in 2012 due to his spectacular skills and achievements in the craft of pottery. 


You can learn how to create the perfect pottery, formed by hand as well as the aid of special machines. But if you’re not here to study pottery, all sorts of pottery products are also sold. Some of them include incense burners, clay pots, home decorations and more.
