KUALA LUMPUR, 18 April 2025 – Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is inviting everyone to soak up the sights, sounds, and flavours of Sarawak at the Sarawak Pavilion during MATTA Fair KL 2025, which takes place from Apr 18-20 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) here.
One of the main highlights this year is the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025. To get festivalgoers in the spirit, STB is launching the Sarawak Borneo Pass promotion, a special offer that includes one-day festival passes that are available exclusively through STB’s official travel partners. Each pass also comes with a special gift that can be redeemed during the festival. The promotion is available only at the Sarawak Pavilion, located at Booths 1A01–1A12 and 1B01–1B12.

In conjunction with the festival, STB is also introducing the Sarawak Borneo Pass as a broader travel incentive. This soft launch, in collaboration with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), offers 20% off airfares for those flying into Sarawak during the festival period. The promotion runs now until June 22 for travels between June 14 and 29. Book with Malaysia Airlines or Firefly to enjoy this special discount by using the promo codes MHRWMF25 for Malaysia Airlines or FYRWMF25 for Firefly.
This marks the beginning of the Sarawak Borneo Pass brand, with future phases set to expand into more travel benefits other than flights.
Also, RHB Bank cardholders can enjoy a 5% discount on Sarawak travel packages when booked through selected trade partners during the fair.
Meanwhile, the Sarawak Pavilion offers immersive experiences including live traditional music featuring sape and nose flute, as well as cultural dances. There are also live demonstrations of traditional tattooing, basket weaving, and handicraft making by local Sarawak artisans.

Food lovers will be able to savour Sarawak specialities like Laksa Sarawak and Kek Lapis Sarawak via free tastings throughout the day. Visitors can also pose for photos with Sarawak warriors and maidens in traditional attire, take part in fun trivia games, and stand a chance to win exclusive Sarawak-themed souvenirs.
With over 20 exhibitors including tour operators, product owners, and craft vendors, the Sarawak Pavilion offers a wholesome experience for those seeking culture, adventure, nature, food and festival immersion.
Sarawak’s strong presence at MATTA Fair KL 2025 highlights its ongoing efforts to connect travellers with authentic experiences, while boosting tourism partnerships within Malaysia.
